Ranger Construction is Hiring a Loader Operator Near Fort Pierce, FL

The Loader - Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the loader. S/he will be responsible for operating a Front - End Loader, Motor Grader, Rubber - tire Backhoe, Dozer and Excavator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•The ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat and humidity.

•Observe operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.

•Responsible for equipment maintenance; perform pre- and post- shift inspections documenting items in need of service or repair, diagnosing problems, and performing minor mechanical repair.

•Control inventory of materials.

•Perform calculations for differing load sizes.

•Report mechanical failures and/or material inconsistencies to supervisor.

•Perform projects and other duties as assigned.

•Qualifications:

•High School Diploma or its equivalent preferred.

•5 years of related loader - operator experience.

•Previous experience in operating various types of heavy equipment preferred, but not required.

•Able to recognize various products by sight and to understand proper plant operation.

•Ability to understand and follow instructions; function effectively as part of a team; ability to work under pressure; communicate with supervisors, co-workers and the public.

•Mechanical aptitude is desirable.

•Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, kneel, walk, talk, see, hear, push, pull, climb, bend and stoop. The employee frequently is required to stand, (for up to 8 eight hours), walk (occasionally on rough terrain/in varying weather conditions), climb, use manual dexterity to operate tools used in the course of work, hear sufficient to hear conversations in person and via telephone and radio, and vision sufficient for distance sight and to read diagrams, manual reports, rules, regulations, laws and plans. The employee is occasionally required to reach, push and pull with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Physical dexterity may involve stretching, proper placement of legs, and use of arms and hands in repetitive motions. The employee must be able to maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities occurring at the site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment and the movement of mobile equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
